Interaction Techniques for Spatial Augmented Reality Setups

Spatial augmented reality is an emerging technology, which has the potential to change the way humans perceive objects in their real environment. For a perfect blend of three-dimensional virtual and real features, the features’ depth information has to be taken into account. However, projecting stereoscopic content on non-planar surfaces poses some challenges both in terms of potential perceptual effects and appropriate interaction techniques. The aim of the presented research project is to meet these challenges and to establish guidelines for future spatial augmented reality setups.
